　　期待已久的2014年世界地掷球(塑质球女子团体)锦标赛即将开幕，在此，我代表国家体育总局、中国掷球协会向来自世界各国家、地区的运动员、教练员和朋友们表示热烈的欢迎！向关心支持中国掷球运动的浙江省体育局、开化县人民政府、衢州市体育局和赞助商们表示衷心的感谢！

　　We have been expecting the he 2014 World Raffa Championship for long. On behalf of the the General Administration of Sports Bureau of China and China Bocce Ball Association to express a warm welcome to the all the athletes, referees, coaches and guests, and gratitude to Zhejiang Sports Bureau, Kaihua People’s Government, Quzhou Sports Bureau and sponsors. Thank you all!

　　地掷球项目进入中国以来,在各方面的大力支持下，有了突飞猛进的发展。不仅涌现出一大批优秀的运动员，也吸引了越来越多的人们积极地投身到这项运动中来，为国家在新时期体育事业的发展、全民健身计划纲要的实施、推动由体育大国向体育强国发展做出了重要贡献。

　　With the rapid development of Bocce in China, there are lots of outstanding athelets, attracting more residents to join the game. It also makes a significant contribution to the sports development in China.

　　浙江省作为中国地掷球运动的一面旗帜，拥有着广泛的地掷球群众基础和巨大的社会影响力，我相信，随着这项比赛的举办，将有力地推动地掷球在开化、在衢州、在浙江，乃至在全国蓬勃的发展！

　　Zhejiang Province has set a good example of the Bocce game in China. We also has a strong foundation of communal sports and good social influence. I believe that the chanpionship will promote the bocce in Kaihua, in Zhejiang and even in China.

　　开化因有“五个一”闻名全国。这两天，我也亲身感受到了开化独特的魅力，感受到开化为球员、教练以及裁判员所提供的如此专业的比赛场地和热情周到的赛事服务。我相信，在这样的环境下，来自世界的各位顶级塑掷球选手们一定能展示出精湛技艺，现场的每一位观众也能在这几天的比赛中享用一场精彩绝妙的地掷球盛宴！我相信，开化也必将骄傲地拥有第六个一——“一球联结五洲”。

　　I have heard about Kaihua a lot before I came. And I do see the profession of all the athelets, couaches, referees here today. I firmly believe, the performance will be excellent and the audience will enjoy a wonderful game. Kaihua will be proudly of this championship.
