　　今晚，我们相聚在美丽的国家东部公园——浙江开化；今晚，钱江源头，华灯璀璨，激情飞扬；今晚，我们迎来了第四届世界地掷球(塑质球女子团体)锦标赛。

　　Tonight, we meet in the beautiful Eastern National Park, Kaihua, Zhejiang Province; tonight, the source of Qiantang River, Kaihua is full of glamour and passion; tonight, we are welcoming the fourth World Raffa (Women’s Team) Championship.

　　在此，我谨代表中共开化县委、开化县政府及35万开化人民向来自世界各国的运动员、裁判员、教练员和朋友们表示热烈的欢迎！

　　On behalf of Kaihua CPC Committee，Kaihua People’s Government and 350 thousand Kaihua people, I would like to express the warm welcome to all the athletes, referees, coaches and guests here!

　　开化建县已经1033年，文化底蕴深厚，有震撼世界的根雕艺术，有香飘四海的有机绿茶——开化龙顶，有宜居宜游、令人神往的美丽乡村，是中国9个生态良好地区之一，中国17个具有全球意义生物多样性保护的关键地区之一。

　　Kaihua has a long history of 1033 years with a profound cultural foundation. It owns the amazing root carving art, the organic green tea， Kaihua Long Ding, whose fragrance all over the world and fascinating beautiful towns and villages suitable for living and tourism. She is one of the nine best ecological zones in China, and one of 17 key zones for biodiversity protection of global significance.

　　境内森林覆盖率高达80.4%，水质常年保持在一、二类，每立方米空气PM2.5保持在30微克以内，有古田山国家自然保护区、钱江源国家森林公园，是一个科普、休闲、养生、旅游的天然大氧吧。获诺贝尔奖的著名作家莫言称开化是一个“神仙居住的地方”。

　　The forest coverage rate is up to 80.4%, and the surface water quality reaches national first-class or second-class water standard all year round, the PM2.5 less than 30 micrograms per cubic meter. With Gutian Mountain National Natural Reserve and Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park in it. It is a natural oxygen bar suitable for science popularization，relaxation, health care and tourism. The famous write Mo Yan, the winner of Nobel Literature Prize, praised Kaihua as an abode of immortals.

　　开化具有广泛的群众体育基础，是浙江省体育强县、浙江省青少年举重训练基地、全国举重高水平后备人才基地，是中国首个蝉联奥运举重金牌的运动员占旭刚、两届世界青年举重锦标赛冠军毛晨的家乡，

　　Kaihua has a broad basis of mass sports，enjoying the reputation of Strong Sports County in Zhejiang Province, Weightlifting training center for Junior of Zhejiang Province, High-level Backup talents base of National weightlifting. It is the homeland of Zhan Xugang, who won the Olympic weightlifting champion twice, and Mao Chen, who won the first place in 37th and 38th World Junior Weightlifting Championships.

　　近年来承办过中美篮球对抗赛、全国青年举重锦标赛、全国甲A乒乓球赛、全国女子排球大奖赛等国际、国内重大体育赛事，已连续8年获得“全国群众体育先进单位”。

　　In recent years, it has undertaken important international and domestic sports events such as the sino-American Basketball Match, National Junior Weightlifting championship, National A-level Table-tennis Match, National Female Volleyball Grand Prix, earning the name of National Advanced Unit in Mass Sports for 8 years.

　　地掷球是一项娱乐性与竞技性，脑力活动和体力锻炼结合的高雅体育运动，老少皆宜，非常适合开化开展。

　　The Bocce is an elegant sports activity of the combination of entertainment and competitive, mental activity and physical exercise, suitable for people of all ages. It is quite suitable to be popularized in Kaihua.

　　我们将以承办此次地掷球世锦赛为契机，大力推进地掷球进学校、进企业、进机关、进社区，让更多的人参与地掷球运动，让地掷球比赛成为国家东部公园的常年性体育赛事。

　　We will take this championship as an opportunity to popularize the bocce into schools, enterprises, public offices and communities, making the bocce competition a perennial sports event of the Eastern National Park.

　　最后，预祝第四届世界女子塑质地掷球锦标赛圆满成功！祝各位在开化期间开心开怀，平安幸福！
