Respected Mr. Shi Zehua,

Ladies and gentlemen：

尊敬的施泽华先生，

女士们、先生们：

　　Tonight, we meet to celebrate the grand opening of the 2014 World Women’s Bocce Championship which is held every four years. On behalf of the Confederazione Boccistica Internazionale(CBI) and President Romolo Rizzoli, who although not able to be here with us in person to share his dream of World Women’s Raffa Championship in China, he is very proud that together you have made this dream a reality. I would like to express my warmest congratulations on the staging of this most important championship here in Kaihua, China-China, a Country with a rich sporting and illustrious cultural history that continues to amaze and inspire the world with its 21st Century achievements!

　　今晚，我们相聚在此，共同欢度世界地掷球运动四年一次的盛会。我谨代表世界地掷球联合会和罗莫洛·里佐利主席，虽然他这次未能亲自前来和我们一同分享此次塑质球女子团体锦标赛的梦想，但是他同样非常自豪，因为我们相聚在此一起将这个梦想实现了。在此，我个人也要向在中国开化举行的本次锦标赛表示最热烈的祝贺！中国是一个拥有丰富的体育历史和辉煌的文化历史的国家，并将继续用她21世纪取得的成就震惊并激励世界。

　　There are so many people that have devoted themselves to the success of the organization and conduct of this prestigious event that I cannot think of any better way to express my gratitude but to simply say a very heartfelt THANK YOU! All of us here enjoying the excellent facilities of this stadium very much appreciate the extraordinary work that has been done by every member of the staff of the organizing committee – not forgetting the magnificent effort and selfless dedication of all the volunteers associated with this tournament.

　　为了本次盛大赛事的顺利进行，很多人付出了艰苦努力。对于他们的付出，我没有更好的办法表达我的谢意，只能简单地发自内心地说一句：谢谢！我们在场的所有人都非常喜欢体育馆的良好设施，非常感谢组委会团队做出的杰出工作。对于本次赛事的所有志愿者的辛苦付出和无私奉献，我们也深表感激。

　　I was introduced to Kaihua through the Eastern National Park Photo Album- its beautiful scenery and landscape made a lasting impression and a strong desire to visit. This is my first visit to Kaihua and as soon as I stepped foot here I found that it was not only as picturesque as the photo album, but even more beautiful!

　　第一次接触开化，是从那本《国家东部公园画册》开始，美丽的印象我至今难忘，并使我非常渴望能够来开化逗留。这是我第一次来开化，我发现她比画册上的更美。

　　The warm welcome of the officials and volunteers alike mirrored the friendliness and hospitality of the local residents, whose relaxed lifestyle reflects many of the elements of the sport of bocce- a sport for all ages and all levels of ability!

　　官员和志愿者热情欢迎也反映出开化人民的友好和好客，他们的慢节奏生活也符合地掷球运动的特征：一项符合所有年龄和能力水平的运动。

　　I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Kaihua County planning officials for creating an environment with so many diverse sporting facilities in one location for visitors and community alike-sporting structures that would rival many other major resort cities!

　　借此机会，我也要感谢开化县委县政府为我们创造了一个良好的环境，为来访者和社区提供了如此多的体育设施，完全可以匹敌其他主要城市。

　　My hope is for each athlete here to engage in the spirit of sport, promoting friendship, respect and justice. We will all be proud of your individual achievements here, irrespective of whether you win or lose!

　　在此，我祝愿每一位来到这里参赛的运动员，希望你们本着友谊、尊敬和公平竞争的精神去拼搏。不管你们是否获胜，我们都会为你们的成就和表现感到骄傲。

　　May the hopes and dreams of each one of you come true!
